Set up Google Analytics
Measure your audience and improve your strategy with Google Analytics! Follow these steps to easily activate and connect your data.
Thanks to Google Analytics, you can measure the audience of your site, improve your SEO/SEA strategy, and analyze the behavior of your visitors. You can also interconnect other Google services.
Create a Google Analytics account
To activate Google Analytics, you must first go to the Google Analytics homepage.
If you do not have an account yet, click on Create an account:
Give a name to your account, which is generally that of your business.
Provide a property name, that of your business or your site.
Set the time zone to France and the currency to euro.
Select an industry sector and the size of your company.
Select the statistics that interest you.
Create a statistics stream
Once your account is created, you need to create a statistics stream to link your Google Analytics account to your site.
In the Admin tab, in the Property column, click on Data Streams.
Click on the Web option.
In Set up a data stream, fill in the URL of the website and the site name, then click on Create Stream.
Copy the measurement ID obtained, which looks like G-0BTCEYJWE9.
Connect the site to the stream
You now need to connect your Analytics account to your site.
Go to the Plugins tab in the Marketing category of your Vivlab dashboard.
Access the edit menu of the Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics plugin.
Paste the ID you copied earlier and save.
Check the connection
You now need to check that the stream connects your Analytics to your site correctly.
Open a new tab in your browser and go to your site.
In another tab, check the Real-time section of your Google Analytics dashboard. If a visit is displayed, the stream is set up correctly!
Fetching real-time information may take a few minutes during initialization. Feel free to refresh your Google Analytics page if necessary.
