Measure the effectiveness of your ads and customize your audience by tracking the actions taken by your customers using Facebook's algorithm.

The Facebook Pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising by tracking the actions taken by users on your website. You can use the Facebook Pixel to display your Facebook and Instagram ads to the appropriate audience.

This plugin allows you to:

  • Measure the results of your ads (number of clicks, number of sales, number of conversions) and thus calculate your return on investment (ROI).

  • Track your goals, whether they are visits, conversions, or custom events, and monitor the actions taken by users on your website.

  • Optimize your ads, with the help of Facebook's algorithm, to generate more conversions.

Create a Facebook Pixel

To create a new Facebook Pixel, follow the steps below:

  • Access your Facebook Events Manager.

  • Click on Connect Data Sources.

  • Select the platform for your Facebook Pixel (Web or App).

  • Select Facebook Pixel.

  • Enter the name of the Pixel and the link to your website.

  • Copy the ID, which is a series of numbers like 266188238377179 for example, assigned by Facebook.

Then, go to your Vivlab dashboard, in the Plugins section, and paste this ID into the Facebook Pixel plugin. You can verify that it is correctly set up by sending a test event from the FB Events Manager.

If Facebook asks to verify your domain name, follow the documentation regarding domain name verification.

Using the Facebook Pixel

The use of the Pixel is divided into several parts.

  • Overview: This section allows you to see the overall overview collected by your Facebook Pixel (conversions, clicks, sales, ...).

  • Test Event: This section allows you to know if your Pixel is operational on your website or not.

  • Diagnostics: This section helps you find and resolve any detected issues and get recommendations to fix these errors.

  • History: This section is a history of the changes made by your Facebook Pixel.

  • Settings: This section allows you to check your general settings for your pixels.

You can create multiple events using the Facebook Pixel.

  • Create an ad: This allows you to create conversion campaigns that use your pixel information to generate more customer actions.

  • Create a custom audience: Reach people who have already engaged with your brand or find new people who are likely your best customers, using your pixel information.

  • Create a similar audience: Reach new people who are likely to be interested in your business because they are similar to your best customers using your pixel information.

  • Create a custom conversion: Measure more specific customer information and run ads optimizing your delivery to reach them.
