Create product categories on my online store
Organize your products into categories and subcategories to optimize the organization of your online store and ensure a better customer experience.
The categories and brands you define will link the items together and serve as search filters. They allow for better organization of your products based on their brand or type, for example.
Create product categories and subcategories.
Provide the brands of the products for sale.
Enhance the search filters on your site.
Manage categories & brands
Go to the Categories tab in the E-commerce section to find all your categories and brands. Feel free to use the search bar to help you navigate.
The created and active categories, subcategories, and brands will automatically be proposed in the search filters on your site.
Create a category
Click on Add to create your category.
Enter the name, such as Women for example, that you want to give your category in the Category Name field.
Once your categories are defined, click on Add at the bottom right to confirm, then click on Save.
Once your category, subcategory, or brand is created, you cannot delete it, only rename or disable it.
Organize categories
For clarity, you can customize the order in which your categories appear in the navigation bar and the menu of your site and thus create your subcategories.
Click on the Category Organization tab to display the list of categories.
Drag the items to change their display order.
Once your category order is defined, click on Save.
If you disable a category, it will hide all products that belong to it on your site.
Create facet filters
To access the creation of filters, go to the Facet Filter tab next to the Category Organization tab.
Click on Create to create your filter.
Enter the name of the filter, such as Decathlon for example.
Enter the names of the items in the created filter, such as Shoes for example.
Once the filters are created, click on Save.
