The free Vivlab business card generator turns your contact details into a QR code (vCard). Your contacts add you to their address book with a single scan.
Fill in your details, then download the QR code as a PNG or SVG, with no watermark.
Scan the QR code to add the contact to your address book.
How it works
Enter your name, phone, email and any other details you want to share; only the fields you fill are encoded.
The QR code updates as you type, so you see the final result right away before saving it.
Grab the image as a PNG for screens or an SVG for print, then add it to a card, an email signature or a badge.
A vCard QR code stores your contact details in the standard contact card format. Scan it with a smartphone and the card opens, ready to save to the address book. No need to type anything out again.
It's the universal format for a contact card (name, company, phone, email, website, address). Stored in a QR code, every recent phone recognizes it.
The other person points their camera at the code and adds the card in one move. Fast, no dedicated app, and no risk of typos.
On a printed business card, in a store window, in your email signature or on a flyer. Anywhere you want to make it easy for people to reach you.
Tip: print the QR code in high contrast (dark on a light background), keep a white margin around it, and always test the scan before running a large print job.
Frequently asked questions
What is a vCard QR code?
It is a QR that holds your contact details in the vCard 3.0 format, the standard phones recognise. When it is scanned, the device offers to save the contact directly, with nothing to type out.
What information can I include?
First and last name, company, job title, phone, email, website and address. Every field is optional: leave out the ones you would rather not share and they simply won't appear in the code.
How does the contact get added to the phone?
Just point the camera at the QR, on iPhone as well as Android. A card opens with an Add contact button, and no third-party app is needed.
Can I edit the contact after printing it?
No, the details are baked into the image, with no redirect or middle server. If your number or email changes, generate a fresh QR and reprint it.
Are my details sent anywhere?
The QR is built entirely in your browser and nothing goes to Vivlab. Do bear in mind that these details are readable in plain text by anyone who scans the code, so only include what you would hand out on a business card.
